The Vancouver Canucks play the Los Angeles Kings for the 2nd time in less than two weeks with a Monday night 7:30pm tilt at Staples Center. All Pacific Division games are important, but the Canucks will be sure to want to avenge an embarrassing 3-1 loss on January 4th. The Canucks were thoroughly dominated in […]
The Vancouver Canucks play the Los Angeles Kings in an important Saturday night 7:00pm PST game at the Staples Center. Both teams are fully aware how close the standings are in the Pacific Division and, frankly, both teams hate each other. What more can you ask for? As the great Casey Printers once said, “kids, […]
The Vancouver Canucks probably could not get out of town quick enough as Rogers Arena has turned into Heartbreak Ridge. The Canucks will look to erase a dismal 6 game home stand and get back to their road winning form in a game vs the Ottawa Senators on Thursday at 4:30 PM PST. Last Game […]
After yet another home loss, the Vancouver Canucks return for the final game of their 6 game home stand Monday night against the Los Angeles Kings. Has Drew Doughty said enough to fire up the Canucks? Read on to find out.
The Vancouver Canucks California swing continues Saturday night vs the Los Angeles Kings. The Canucks have been early season road warriors, compiling a 7-2-2 record away from the friendly confines of Rogers Arena. There are no freebies in the Pacific Division! The Kings offer up another tough test for the Canucks, but I have a […]
It goes without saying that finishing first in the conference is very important, but it’s likely going to be a lot more advantageous this year than last. Last year, the reward for finishing in first place was a date with the Chicago Blackhawks. I don’t think I need to remind anyone how hard that turned […]
The Canucks just completed a southern California sweep against the Kings and Ducks, winning both games in impressive fashion. They played two desperate teams, played them tough and fought through tight checking and a lot of physical play to get a pair of wins. What’s more impressive though, is the fan support from Canuck nation in both games!
Okay, so yesterday, Rob did a post about the NHL’s new Guardians project. First off, who the f’k reads comics anymore? I mean, I get that there are still plenty of longtime diehard fans of comics and graphic novels. But the goal of this partnership with Stan Lee is to attract young fans. Young fans […]
Well Canucks fans, what do you think of this? Meet “Canuck”, one of 30 NHL super heroes. Sort of like Batman if he lived in the sea. You can read all about his super powers here. This is all part of a new partnership between the NHL and the creator of Spider Man, Stan Lee. Will it inspire young fans to take an interest in the NHL? I’m not sure, but I guess it’s worth a shot. Personally, it’s not doing anything for me, but they’re kind of funny to look at.
The Hockey News has sparked a lot of talk in the hockey world lately by picking the Canucks to win the Western Conference last Wednesday. The Hockey News has also picked the boys from the West Coast to win the Stanley Cup this season. This is significant because to the best of my knowledge, no well respected publication has ever picked the Canucks to win the Stanley Cup at the beginning of a season. This, of course, terrifies me.
