When it comes to choosing retro jerseys, the Vancouver Canucks have a larger selection than most. I mean, this franchise has had so many drastically different jersey styles we dedicated a whole section to it! But next month, the Canucks will be looking to the Vancouver Millionaires for inspiration.

On March 16th against the Detroit Red Wings, the Canucks will be paying homage to the only team from Vancouver to win a Stanley Cup. The tribute is part of a Canucks marketing campaign (lets be honest) to celebrate 100 years of professional hockey on the west coast.

In any case, I think it’s a really good look and I’m sure there’ll be a boost in jersey sales. It’s also a good chance to educate younger fans about the history of the Vancouver Millionaires.
