Rob is a regular guy with super human hockey knowledge. He used to work for the Vancouver Canucks and coached minor hockey. Rob plays hockey too.

There's no guarantee that Bure would show up for any of it. He didn't show up for Linden's jersey retirement. He also demanded a trade out of Vancouver and didn't have the decency to give the fans a reason…. As you can tell, I'm not the biggest Bure fan!

Bure was the best player in the league at the time. Whatever his reason, I blame the canucks for making this a place he didn't want to be. n nAnd as for this video, I've heard people say they think this stuff actually aired on the Daily Show. Isn't it obvious that its been edited together? Notice that Jon Stewart never once mentions anything to do with hockey.
You should feel privileged that you got to see one of the greatest goal scorers of all time. He brought this team to sucess after two decades of losing. Could you really blame him for wanting to leave in the late 90s? The team was a mess and the fans and media were wayy too hard on him. When he left we realized that we took him for granted. Hopefully the Canucks would retire his jersey in the near future. n n

I absolutely blame him for leaving and if he wants me to think differently, perhaps he should say something to the fans as to why he left. No doubt he was a great player, I think he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. But I can't forget how he turned his back on the city.
